In this episode, I am sharing a very personal experience. Just before the new year, I went on a solo retreat and with the support of a guide, I took psychedelic mushrooms for the first time.
Psilocybin is the psychoactive ingredient in mushrooms and this is still considered a Class A drug in the UK. But in other countries and in many indigenous and ceremonial cultures, it is used as medicine.
My beloved friend Karen King joins me for this episode. Karen is a Psychedelic-assisted psychotherapist who runs a clinic in Washington State in the US where she uses plant medicines as part of therapy treatments. I thought she would be the ideal person to share my experience with you.
